PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:

A lifetime of professional experience in marketing, creative services, merchandising and sales. I have designed, developed and implemented successful sales strategies, P.O.P., packaging, display units, collateral materials, labels, marketing plans, presentations, public relations, advertising campaigns, web sites, videos, interactive presentations, digital sales tools and commercials for the top 100 retailers in the world, as well as, INC. 100 and Fortune 100 companies. Managed various companies’ in-house agencies including a full printing company and its management staffs. My decisions are logical, analytical, creative and innovative yet objective and fair. A detail oriented person who can still see the whole picture. A goal setter who thrives on achieving those set goals. I have been responsible for budgets of over 10 million dollars and very experienced in vendor contract negotiations. A very successful sales associate who always overachieved yearly goals. I graduated with Honors from East Tennessee State University with a BFA in art along with minors in psychology and marketing.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • Project Management - Customer needed a product and display system rolled out to over 2,000 stores in 4 weeks. Existing vendor could not produce. If company could produce and deliver final the product, it would result in tremendous exposure and profit. Identified all perimeters, systems, logistics, both internal and external to meet deadline. Designed display mechanism and multiple products to fit these mechanisms. Researched and negotiated contracts with various vendors to assist in the delivery display mechanism. Coordinated and oversaw manufacturing of products from inception to finish.  Met delivery times on schedule and under budget. Customer awarded our company with $12 Mil in additional business because of our successful efforts.

  • Superior Analytical Skills – Through acquisitions, 6 companies, who had operated independently, were now consolidated into one Division. Labeling, packing and branding of each company were less than desirable and were losing large amounts of money. Assigned responsibility to consolidate, eliminate and design of the labeling, packing and branding to be consistent with each other. Assessed each individual need and shortcomings and formulated a detailed plan that consolidated vendors, streamlined labor-intensive processes of application. Able to introduce automation, reduce inventory and increase efficiencies resulting in millions of dollars in savings.

  • Target, Rifle and Mass marketing Expertise – Needed to boost company show business during winter market. Needed increased revenue for other marketing ventures. Devised a multi-prong campaign that reached over 30,000 customers. Designed, direct mail, e-mail blasts, inserts advertising and handouts. Blanketed attack with pinpoint accuracy. Results netted us the largest show ever doubling the numbers from the previous year.

  • Results Oriented – After developing a promotional product for the largest retailer in the world the company was challenged to produce or lose the market share.  Delivered a complete package and display method to over 2000 locations. Had a 97% sell-through in a 24-hour period at each location. Maintained market share and added 5 more promotions a year – netting an additional $40 Mil in revenue.

  • Successful Sales and Negotiations to the Top 100 Retailers – Challenged with opportunity to take ½ the business on an existing product category. After careful planning and positioning, negotiated a deal with vendors to give us a better “merchandising mousetrap”. Took ¾ of the business in our category. Resulted in turning fledgling start-up company into a $40 Mil company.
